Head of State’ Decree on appointing four public prosecutors and chief prosecutors in the Federal Public Prosecution

Five members of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office were sworn in today morning before the Minister of Justice Sultan Saeed Al-Badi and in the presence of Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney-General of the State.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, issued the Federal Decree No. 160 of 2017, appointing: Mahmoud Abdel-Hafiz Mohamed, Ahmed Sayed Soliman Faraj, Hashim Al-Nubi Abdullah Ali, Hisham Ahmed Hilmi Mahmoud as “Public Prosecutor” in the Federal Public Prosecution for the second category.

The decree of the Head of State also provides for the appointment of Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Sayed Abdul Rahman as the Head of the Public Prosecution for the third category.

The Minister of Justice said during his meeting with the new appointees that members of the judiciary have a greater responsibility and a greater honesty, and that the state leadership expectations as large as the importance of their role and responsibilities in achieving justice and the realization of the right.

The Minister also called on public prosecutors and the head of the new prosecution to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the constitution and the laws in force, and that the fear of God and then consciences should be their approach and the basis of their performance for their judicial duty.
