The Digital Power of Attorney Issuance service offers eight types of power of attorney, including lawyer representation and digital powers of attorney in legal cases, real estate, rental disputes, licensing, vehicles, stocks, and company management.
With the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE in business facilitation, the Ministry of Justice has launched an online Power of Attorney Issuance service on its digital platform, www.moj.gov.ae. This service contributes to the ease of doing business in the country and encourages UAE citizens to work in the private sector. Statistics indicate a 33% increase in the private notary's ratio compared to the public notary since the beginning of 2023.
In its second phase, the platform provides eight types of power of attorney, including lawyer representation and digital powers of attorney in various domains such as legal cases, real estate, rental disputes, licensing, vehicles, stocks, and company management.
This launch aligns with the UAE government's vision of creating a paperless future, saving time, resources, and preserving the environment well as the Ministry's future plans to improve judicial services and develop an integrated legal and judicial services system, emphasizing proactive judicial services as well as developing an integrated system of services aimed at ensuring swift access to judicial and legal e-services for the community. This includes expanding participation in legal AI projects, strengthening strategic partnerships, and fostering an innovative culture within the institutional work environment.
Using the system, customers can generate digital ratified power of attorney documents in less than 10 minutes and without the need to visit a notary public office, as well as safely store such documents using a blockchain system and a digital wallet and share them with third parties and competent authorities.
Featured in both Arabic and English, the platform utilizes relevant tech solutions that ensure data integrity and prevents fraud and alterations. It also enables notaries public and customers to view and follow up on applications and monitor performance levels, providing a streamlined platform for completing transactions.
