The United Arab Emirates took part in a high-level meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York, which focused on reviewing the UN Global Plan of Action to Combat Human Trafficking.
H.E. Judge Abdul Rahman Al Balooshi, Vice Chair of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking, headed the UAE delegation. It included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Public Prosecution, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security.
During the meeting, the delegation reaffirmed the UAE’s strong commitment to combating the inhumane crime of human trafficking and highlighted the concrete steps the country has implemented to prevent it.
